FIELD LESSON
Briefing
Mapping is an output promise
A client may ask for a map but need an orthomosaic, 3D model, contour support, progress record, stockpile estimate, or inspection layer. Define the deliverable before choosing capture settings.
Accuracy language matters
Do not imply cadastral or survey-grade outputs unless the right qualifications, controls, equipment, and workflow support that claim. Be clear about intended use.
Capture discipline
Overlap, altitude, light, shutter speed, ground control, RTK/PPK status, route consistency, and processing workflow all affect quality. Mapping punishes casual flying.
