BVLOS is not longer VLOS
Beyond visual line of sight changes the risk model. The operator needs systems to maintain airspace awareness, command link reliability, contingency control, route discipline, and evidence that risk is acceptable.
The system matters
BVLOS is a combination of aircraft, comms, procedures, observers or surveillance, detect-and-avoid strategy, weather limits, emergency planning, and regulatory approval.
Why it matters to Alice
Remote site checks, docks, farms, corridors, emergency response, and infrastructure monitoring become much more valuable when operations can extend beyond what one pilot can see, but only if human oversight and safety cases are strong.
